Revitalise a loved piece of furniture with this beautiful, iconic William Morris Fire Retardant Velvet Fabric, Strawberry Thief in a Forest Green colour. A small scale design, which eschews a modern colour palette, instead embracing the more natural and timeless look of traditional printing methods. This fabric has been printed on fire retardant base velvet fabric, with a rub test of 45,000 so is suitable for most upholstery applications.

The inspiration for the Strawberry Thief design came from Morris's observations of birds stealing strawberries from his garden at Kelmscott Manor, his country home in the Cotswolds. This timeless and beautiful design depicts stylised thrushes stealthily plucking strawberries from tangled vines and foliage and is one of the most popular designs by the renowned British Arts & Craft designer.

  • You can purchase fabric in three different lengths; By the 'Metre', '1/2 Metre' or 'Sample'.
  • Use the drop down menu on the fabric page to choose which length you would like to purchase in. 
  • Please note: All orders 'By The Metre' and '1/2 Metre' will be sent in one continuous length.
  • See below examples. 
  • 3 x 1m  = 3m 
  • 3 x 1/2 m = 1.5m
