How to Measure
Measuring for Curtains
Width
- Use a metal tape measure for accuracy.
- For a pole: Measure its width excluding finials.
- For a track: Measure the full track width.
- If installing a new pole or track, fit it 15 cm above and 25 cm beyond each side of the window recess for proper coverage.
- For an overlapping track, measure both sections and add them together.
Length / Drop
- Decide where you’d like your curtains to end (sill-length or floor-length).
- For curtains that hang below the sill, allow 1 cm clearance above radiators and carpets.
- Measure the length at three points (left, right, and center) and choose the most suitable measurement in whole centimeters.
For Pencil & Pinch Pleat Curtains
- Using a track: Measure from the top of the track to ensure full coverage.
- Using a pole: Measure from the eye of the curtain ring to the bottom hem.
For Eyelet Curtains
- Measure from the top of the pole to your desired hem position, then add 3 cm to account for the fabric above the eyelets.
Measuring for Blinds
Inside Recess (Fitting Within the Window Frame)
- Measure both width and drop at three points (top, middle, and bottom) to check for irregularities.
- Provide the smallest exact measurement in millimeters.
- Check for obstructions such as tiles, dado rails, or handles.
Outside Recess (Fitting Over the Window Frame)
- Decide how much you want the blind to extend beyond the window frame.
- For Roman blinds: We recommend positioning the blind 10–15 cm above the window for better light control.
- Ensure the blind extends at least 5 cm beyond each side of the window.
- Tip: For a balanced look, the width of your Roman blind should match the window sill.

Important Information
Please note:
- Made-to-measure items cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged, as they are custom-made to order. This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty or not as described.
- Fabric Movement: Natural fibre fabrics (e.g., cotton) may shrink slightly, and environmental factors like humidity can affect fabric drape. Heavier fabrics are particularly sensitive to these changes. As this is beyond our control, we cannot accept responsibility for any movement after installation.
