Tapestry Fabric Morris Strawberry Thief Navy Blue is a cotton rich woven furnishing fabric based on the iconic William Morris Strawberry Thief design, one of the most popular designs by the renowned British Arts & Craft designer. 

The inspiration for the Strawberry Thief design came from Morris's observations of birds stealing strawberries from his garden at Kelmscott Manor, his country home in the Cotswolds. This timeless and beautiful design depicts stylised thrushes stealthily plucking strawberries from tangled vines and foliage.

Strawberry Thief is a versatile fabric that can be used for all sorts of craft and soft furnishing uses such as bag making, cushions, curtains, tablecloths and light use upholstery. Please check rub test value below.

  • You can purchase fabric in three different lengths; By the 'Metre', '1/2 Metre' or 'Sample'.
  • Use the drop down menu on the fabric page to choose which length you would like to purchase in. 
  • Please note: All orders 'By The Metre' and '1/2 Metre' will be sent in one continuous length.
  • See below examples. 
  • 3 x 1m  = 3m 
  • 3 x 1/2 m = 1.5m
