Tartan upholstery fabrics offer a classic and versatile look that can be styled in both a traditional and contemporary way making them a popular choice for home interiors. Based on the traditional tartan designs of Scottish Highlands and Islands, this grey, blue and purple checked polyester fabric has all the visual appeal of a 100% wool tweed but is a very practical alternative as it's made from 100% polyester. However don't let that put you off, this fabric is beautifully soft and feels very natural. It's soft to touch, very durable and is perfect for curtains, blinds, upholstery, cushions or craft projects like bags.

Wool like or faux wool fabrics offer many benefits over pure wool, including cost, practicality and durability plus they are easier to care for. This fabric is machine washable at 30°

Lovely subtle colours

I bought this to use for bag making mainly and its perfect. Its not super soft to the touch in the way you might want for clothing, there is a very slight 'roughness', but certainly not uncomfortably so. I have seen some used on commercially made products in shops that are so rough, itchy & cheap feeling - this very much isn't. Its a really good weight & quality for things like bags & cushion covers in my opinion, it just feels like it will last and for the price, seems very good value for money.

I'd also like to add, delivery was superquick, very impressed with the service. Once Ive decided on a fabric purchase, I do get impatient waiting for it to turn up and Blue Duck were superb on this.

  • You can purchase fabric in three different lengths; By the 'Metre', '1/2 Metre' or 'Sample'.
  • Use the drop down menu on the fabric page to choose which length you would like to purchase in. 
  • Please note: All orders 'By The Metre' and '1/2 Metre' will be sent in one continuous length.
  • See below examples. 
  • 3 x 1m  = 3m 
  • 3 x 1/2 m = 1.5m 
  • 1m + 1/2m = 1.5m

Dispatch Times 

  • We aim to dispatch Royal Mail orders same day (if ordered before 10 am) or next working day.
  • Larger courier (Parcel Force) orders are usually dispatched next working day.
  • If we anticipate a delay in dispatching your order we will notify you asap

  • Delivery costs are based on the weight and length of your order apart from samples which are sent free of charge.
  • Delivery costs are automatically calculated after inputting your delivery postcode and clearly visable before any payment is required.

For orders over 4.01 kg roll delivery is the only option however if you prefer your fabric not to be folded ie; for velvet orders, you can choose delivery on a roll for any size order.

  • Unfortunately due to new EU GPSR regulations we are no longer able to ship to Northern Ireland.
  • For Isle Of Man, Jersey and Guernsey orders you will need to change the Delivery Country accordingly and additional charges may apply.
